At Care Sante Southwark, we are looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across our Lew Evans and Harriet Hardy services. About the Role
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operations of both services, ensuring exceptional standards of care, compliance, and staff performance. You will be a positive role model, supporting and developing the team while promoting independence, dignity, and choice for every individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the Lew Evans and Harriet Hardy services.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise care staff to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
- Ensure care plans and risk assessments are accurate, person-centred, and regularly reviewed.
- Monitor compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding legislation, and company policies.
- Support recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and staff development.
- Complete audits, spot checks, and quality assurance activities.
- Assist with rota management and maintain safe staffing levels.
- Develop positive relationships with service users, families, professionals, and external agencies.
- Act as the Registered Manager in their absence when required.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a health or social care setting.
- A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A good understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding requirements.
- The ability to inspire and develop a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards).
- Experience leading or supervising a care team.
- Strong IT, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable).
